All children in Year 5 have been provided with CGP study books to support their learning. Children are expected to complete the relevant pages in the books by Wednesday each week. Please see below for a copy of the homework timetable.
If children require extra support to complete their homework; we run a homework club on a Tuesday after school 3pm - 4pm. If you would like your child to attend please let their teacher know.
Children are also expected to read at home at least 3 times per week. We check diaries on Wednesdays and Fridays. Any child who does not achieve 3 reads at home will miss playtime on Friday to attend reading catch up.
Here you will find the newsletters for each term, which will provide you with more detailed information about your child's learning and also highlight key dates for your diaries.
In this area you will find information about National Curriculum expectations for the end of year 5.
We have included a list of non-negotiables for reading, writing and maths and have also provided the year 5/6 spelling list.
In addition, there is a glossary of grammar terms, which will enable you to support your child's understanding.
You can also see our current topic web, which will show you what your child will be learning about in school; this term our topic is 'The Industrial Revolution'
