During reading time we will be sharing the book 'The Akimbo Adventures' by Alexander McCall. In our Geography lessons we will be using our mapping skills to identify and name the seven continents of the world and the five main oceans using atlases and globes. We will also be exploring hot and cold countries and their relation to the equator. Then we will be going on Safari to Kenya to discover some of its geographical features and compare them to where we live. We will be finding out about the Massai way of life using a range of sources. Finally we will be going on an exciting visit to Knowsley Safari Park and we will even be producing our own maps of the park with a key, when we return.
During our HIstory session we will looking at the history of South Africa by finding out about the life of Nelson Mandela. We will explore his journey using the book, 'Grandad Mandela' by Zindzi Mandela.
