Scaliwagz Ltd is run by a private organisation. It opened in 2002 and operates from three spacious community rooms in the annex building of the Upper School (Conduit Site.)

Our relaxed home from home warm friendly atmosphere provided the children with the opportunity to mix with other age groups thereby promoting confidence and learning through play.

In the top room there is arts and crafts, television, music and x-box

In the quiet room there is reading, homework and computers

In the games room there is pool.

We have strong links with both infant and junior school and liase between paretns and school, keeping them up to date on any changes.

We are working with school to support and promote the Healthy Eating Policy, by providing children with healthy options at breakfast and snack time.

Scaliwagz offers parents the comfort of knowing that when they drop their child off in the morning they are in a safe environemnt until they collect them later in the afternoon.

The out of school club is open each weekday, in term time, from 07.30 to 09.00 and from 15.15 to 18.00.

In the school holidays, the play scheme operates from 07.30 to 18.00. 

All children share access to a fully enclosed outdoor play area. There are currently 67 children, aged from four to 11 years on roll. 

The group currently supports a number of children with learning difficulties, employs five members of staff all of whom hold appropriate childcare qualifications.

Most of the care club staff work within our school, so we have the opportunity to build good relationships with the children thus providing good continuity of care.
